ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tamarah Ellen is an inspirational and eclectic artist. Her parents exposed her to various art genres as a child, taking ballet, tap, pointe, piano, and the flute. Later, she signed up with a local modeling agency and found her passion for runway and print modeling. For several years, she worked as a hairstylist and makeup artist at the top salon in her area, but her love for making people beautiful didn't stop there. She landed herself in the position of working on Hollywood movie sets from time to time, giving her a taste of working with the stars.
Tamarah is the CEO and founder of "Tamarah's Closet" which celebrates talented people from all over the world. Her mission is encouraging others to step into their dreams at any age. She hosts her Live internet show, Tamarah's Closet, on YouTube and streams on the global Canyon Star TV network. She also created "Tamarah's Closet" magazine, often showcasing people from her show and local talent. As a photographer, she enjoys making her subjects feel like a superstar. Her experience as a model gives her the edge to help people relax and help them pose, whether it's a portrait, headshot, or an aspiring model. Tamarah is a passionate photographer who loves fashion, so she welcomes the opportunity to work with models, often featuring them in her magazine to give them that added exposure.
"I have been in the fashion and beauty industry most of my life. I enjoy experimenting with fabrics for backdrops, sometimes painting my own for an artistic personal touch. I also enjoy draping fabrics and molding them into my own fashion designs for my subjects. I dislike limiting my creativity, so designing my sets allows me to be creative. I prefer something other than ready-made sets or scenic backdrops. I love romantic lighting and experimenting with light. When I put on music in my studio, I can help my subjects relax, and then I can capture their personality, and their soul begins to speak to the music."
Tamarah's discerning eye sees art in almost anything, whether it's a thing of beauty or something heartfelt like life experiences. She says, "Even pain can move me. I want people to see what I see, hence 'Through the eyes of Tamarah.'"
Tamarah has an undying passion for animals; her creativity does not stop with people. She loves photographing pets and using her dramatic lighting in her studio. "Our fur babies have souls, so I want to capture them at play in the studio with my romantic lighting. Sometimes, my greatest pet shots are when their owners leave the room."
Regarding portraits, Tamarah loves photographing men and women of all ages. "With age comes greater wisdom, bringing out one's authentic self." Because Tamarah loves fashion, she is enthusiastic about doing bridal and formal portraits, allowing her to embellish her subjects and their gowns with romantic lighting. As a hopeless romantic, she becomes absorbed in romantic lighting, which works well with her boudoir photo sessions.
Lifting and encouraging others to step into their dreams will always be her passion, and she uses this to her advantage in all aspects of Tamarah's Closet.
About Tamarah’s Closet Live Interviews
Tamarah Ellen has been a big dreamer since she was a child. She never wanted to settle in life with an ordinary job or work for a corporation. She spent years in the fashion and beauty industry and is no stranger to celebrities, landing several job doing hair and makeup on Hollywood movie sets years ago, that were filming in her area, such as “Sleeping With the Enemy” with Julia Roberts, “Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth” with Terry Farrell, “Crazy People” with Dudley Moore and Darryl Hannah, “Victim of Beauty” with William Devane, Murder in New Hampshire: The Pamela Wojas Smart Story,
Years ago, she did an interview with a South African Artist, Charlien Muller, for a blog she was working on. The interview went so well, and Tamarah realized she had a gift for this, and found a new passion to celebrate people from all over the world. She recognized the opportunity of social media as a great platform for those in the arts to promote their work, yet also understood there were still a lot of distractions and millions of people out there for audiences to sift through.
She wanted to start a show, celebrating people in the arts and all things related to her passions, and use her platform to lift her guests, celebrate them, while encouraging others to step into their own dreams, at any age. After years of watching interviews on television shows with famous musicians and actors, she felt there was something missing. She asked herself, “How does someone see the light at the end of the tunnel, when the only people we see interviewed, are the already celebrate and famous?” Tamarah wanted to create a platform that bridged that gap and interviewed talented people at all levels on their journey. The internet gave her the tools to research people in the arts as well as talented people in all areas of her passions, and hence came her show, “Tamarah’s Closet.” Tamarah has been interviewing people worldwide for over 8 years, and now her show streams on Canyon Star TV, a global network out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Today, she also has a magazine, “Tamarah’s Closet,” which is an extension of her show and is also used to celebrate talented people from all over the world. Tamarah's passions are many, and she continues to add more talented people to her show, celebrate them and help them grow.
