In my morning quiet time, I was thinking about people and how intricate we are. We all have issues, and yet we hear all the time, people referring to someone else having issues. The truth is, we all do. It’s not a bad thing, because it’s the very thing that can make us fascinating, and even successful!
I was remembering people who has fascinated me over the years, who were highly successful, yet at the same time, badly broken. Robin Williams was a man whose talent hypnotized me! His ability to entertain off the cuff; in the moment, yet he suffered from depression intensely. He was intense, but his intensity made his performance outstanding, rising above all others in his field. He had a gift. Gifts come with a price!
Robert Downey Jr. shines in his industry and his unique “off the wall” personality gives him the ability to shine in many different character roles. He has overcome many obstacles, or issues. He could have given up, but he utilized his unique issues into becoming an explosive actor, like no other!
There isn’t a human being alive, that doesn’t have issues, and what I have learned is the ones with the most, when utilized in their gifts & talents, become the most successful! It’s what makes us unique, but it also can make us SHINE above others in our industry! Most people play it safe. They keep their emotions stuffed down, never working on release. We are taught at a very young age, not to act out, don’t cry and told not to be different. We are taught that it is best to “fit in.” No one highly successful every fit in. Not “fitting in” is the recipe for greatness and the basis for an outstanding entrepreneur.
The important thing in surviving through our issues, is working on personal development, & even more, acceptance; accept that we are different, embrace it as a beautiful gift, by turning our weirdness into something exceptional and amazing. If you want to excel, don’t focus on fitting in! Focus on turning your uniqueness into something outstanding!
I’m proud of my issues! I had to go through hell to get them, and I imagine I would be boring without them! Boring is never good! I'm a work in progress, we all are!
If someone doesn’t appreciate your issues, then walk away! Find someone who loves you where you are and where you are going! We’ve all got issues. Embrace them, learn from them, harness then into something healthy and be amazing!
We came here for the journey! Hold out for that someone who wants to walk this amazing journey with you and your issues!
Keep on rockin it!
