FOREVER

I wonder how many times; lovers have vowed they would love someone “forever.”   How many times have we ended letters, emails or hallmark cards with “Forever yours?”  Do people just give up before things gets started?  Today it certainly seems so.  People give up in relationships before they get started and even their dreams!  It's a world of taking the easy way out, with very little or no effort.  Seems to some, nothing is worth fighting for.   What happened to forever?

We have a new millennium of lazy.  It’s been going for a while, and it seems to be just getting started.   It’s everywhere though, not just in love.  We have moved into a world of instant gratification, little patience, no great work ethics, lacking greatness.  And it’s not just the workers, it’s accompanied by a world of no taste for quality from consumers; looking for quick fixes versus longevity, seeking cheap over quality and durability, and the easiest way out & cheapest price they can find!  

Patience truly is a virtue, and those who seek and practice patience, are the ones who see the fruits of their labor.  Those who can withstand the test of time in dreams will see their dreams to the end!   The same goes in relationships.  Those who seek quality in theirs or others work, will have an everlasting satisfaction, lending to more gratification in the long run; even in relationships.

Just like in business, if you want to excel above your competition, then you must give more value.   Not excelling in your quality, but instead,  lowering ethics or prices, won't bring you loyal clients.  Instead you will attract those who are cheap, not loyal and looking for a quick fix.   The same goes in a relationship.  If you are always blaming the other person, or running away when the going gets tough, you will never experience those magnificent breakthroughs that take you to new levels.   Remember, the making up is rewarding!

Sure, there is a lifespan of all things; friendships, love relationships, marriage, and business.   We have to recognize when things have come to an end.   Once we do this, we don't see them as failures, yet as life lessons that will also take us to new heights.   The end of something merely opens new doors to new beginnings!

One thing that will never change, is you get what you pay for and I am a firm believer of this.  You also get what you work for, and if you want change, you must first change yourself.   These are hard cold truths which most people today haven’t grasped.  I have never been cheap, as I have always believed in quality and longevity! 

If you want a forever love, then you better be prepared to put the same effort & attention to love, that you would, to become highly successful in other areas of your life!  Do you think Richard Branson got to be a billionaire by taking shortcuts being lazy?   If you want your partner to change, then you better change first.   If you want your children to become better, you better become better yourself.   It’s a simple truth we all must learn to live by.

In the last few years, I have not seen so much public demonstration of hate as I do today.  I believe it is much due to social media & the internet.   Often, I wonder why they even call it social media, as before it existed, people didn’t purposely get up each day and vomit hate on people who don’t agree with them.   It’s as if people feel they can hide behind these internet platforms, only to go out in public, pretending they are something they're not.

If we want people to love us forever, then we must be more loving.  If we want to be successful forever, we must not penny pinch ourselves.  We must go out and spend a little to keep the economy in a constant abundant flow.  Soar with the winners and the lovers; not the haters!    Spend time with quality people who want to make difference and not the complainers of the world!

 Don’t give into slackness and mediocrity.  Leave that to the lazy people and keep pushing forward.  In the end, the lazy will lose their steam and those who have greatness will thrive for years to come!   Greatness and success, whether it’s in love, business or health comes to those who have a willingness to change!

If the people around you won't change, then change the people you are with!   Surround yourself with positive people and people who inspire you to become better!
