My journey to my dreams has been a long one! It's nothing like I dreamed, or even imagined. From the time I was a little girl, I was a bit of a daydreamer. I use to stare out the window of my parents car, on our hour drive to Yadkinville to see my Grandparents, every other Sunday! 

While I stared out that window, I dreamed of the huge Georgian mansion I would live in one day, with the huge white columns on the porch, and the white fenced in pastures! I could see lots of beautiful horses on my plantation, running as I returned home, and it was a stunning visual in my mind!

I was just a kid, and yet full of a wonderful and colorful, vivid imagination. I suppose that is what landed me in the world of the arts! My journey has not been glamorous, to say the least. It has been quite a roller coaster ride, full of tragedies, drama sadness, and yet there have been many happy moments along the way! I can't tell you how many times in my life, that I have heard "nothing good ever comes easy" and I suppose that has been true for me!

Perhaps, I would prefer to say, nothing worthwhile comes easy, and good things come to those who wait! All these years later, while it seems, not much has changed; everything has changed and I am on the cusp of a major breakthrough to my long awaited, "New Beginnings" that I've dreamed of, for many years!

I am not perfect, and I never grew up with the silver spoon! I have always had an undeniable passion for animals, and I love being outdoors and nature! I am perfectly imperfect, when I live in my animal world!

Well, I got the horse farm, but it wasn't easy. It wasn't in Georgia, and it didn't have white columns! I also lost it all, almost as quick as I moved in! And so, my story began! 

Because I love the arts, that has required me at times, to work in the city, and that's okay, but nothing keeps me more grounded, than my love for the countryside, the beauty and serenity it offers me, and my camera! That's where my passion for horses and dogs, came from!

I started Tamarah's Closet three years ago! I decided to celebrate talented people from all over the world, who were going after their dreams. This is my second chance in life, since I "made a mess" my first go around. So to rectify my life, and past mistakes, I decided to take as many people with me, first, by celebrating them, interviewing them on my internet show, and hopefully at some point, photographing all of them and documenting their journey, as well as mine!

Zig Ziglar said once, "You can have everything you want in life, if you just help enough people get what they want in life." This sounded like the best way to approach my life, at this point, and that is what I set out to do!
