Love is a Beautiful Thing

Isn’t love the most healing emotion in the world?   It’s the one emotion or feeling, that can mask all our problems; our worries about business, our work, our sadness and even our health, and diminish them almost completely.

Remember that feeling of falling in love?  It’s the most beautiful experience of all life’s experiences.  It’s what all the hopeless romantics live for!  It’s why the human soul enters the womb of its mother; to experience the power of love.  We come here to experience all the human emotions, and yet love, while seemingly so simple and pure, can be the most painful & complicated emotion of all.  It can literally go from putting us on that perpetual cloud nine, to the deadly emotion of hopelessness, even hate, in the blink of an eye.

The very emotion that has such power in a simple phone call “just to say hello” can completely devastate us to a downward spiral of hopelessness & despair; impairing all our other day to day duties and responsibilities.   Within seconds we can become completely lost in despair.

Love is powerful.  No other emotion has that kind of power; not even hate.  Hate stands alone.  It’s just hate.  It’s the opposite of love and yet can slither in like a snake without a moment’s notice.   How can something so pure and beautiful, have so much power that it can deviate a person into destitute and despair in an instant?   That’s the beauty of the power of love.

Love makes us completely vulnerable and that’s what makes it so beautiful.    When we fall in love, we are hopelessly hooked into its spell.  We can’t eat, we can’t sleep and that special soul who's captivated our heart, is forever engraved in our thoughts.  They're our first thought when we wake up and our last thought, when going to bed.   We suddenly live on an infinite adrenaline rush for weeks on end!  If we are lucky enough, we live on that forever. 

Love can give us the power to change the world.   Love can even make fools of us!  How many times have we seen great and powerful men, crumble to their knees over a woman they’ve lost?  Many great leaders lose their edge; great athletes have lost their game & companies begin to fall, and it’s all because someone lost their most powerful weapon to excel.  They lost their love.  Love is power.

Love has the power to take us to the height of our careers, and our dreams.  Napoleon Hill said, “Love is, without question, life’s greatest experience. It brings one into communion with Infinite Intelligence. When mixed with the emotions of romance and sex, it may lead one far up the ladder of creative effort. The emotions of love, sex, and romance are sides of the eternal triangle of achievement-building genius. Nature creates genii through no other force.”

Next time you think about taking love lightly, you may want to reconsider its power first.   The American Dream was built on love, not hate.    The most stupendous and creative ideas came out of love.   Mankind has been known to move mountains from the power of love.  After all, “It takes two, baby!”    Love without passion will soon die!

In our forever changing and fast paced world, people have become to take this powerful emotion too lightly.  At the first sign of trouble or obstacle, it seems people retreat to the grass is greener on the other side effect.  Instead, we should & must retreat to the cause; for when we identify the cause, we are now finding solutions.  The solution of retreat is the weak one.   The solution to change within one’s self is  the courageous one, & almost always the answer, for the answer is looking back at us in the mirror.

You want to fall in love again?  Listen to Andrea Bocelli sing for awhile and you'll be back to believing love is possible & even probable.  Open your heart and look for change in yourself first.   Love isn't to be taken lightly.  It's just like any other dream.  We must nourish it, play with it, coax it, create it through new ideas and respect it with daily efforts;  mostly by keeping the passion alive.   You wouldn't expect your career or business to thrive without any attention or constant nourishment from passion, energy and new ideas;  so why treat love, the most powerful emotion alive, any different.
