Waiting on the World to Change

 We live in a different world today and one that I am not immensely proud of, sad to say.   I know people have always had differences of opinions, yet due to the internet and social media the attacks have become over the top!   People feel safe behind their computers and their hate has become overwhelming at times.  I often have wondered how tough they would be if they had to say what they say, to someone’s face. 

I don’t approve of our government today and have never trusted most politicians.   We know they merely tell us what we want to hear, and then go on their merry way once they win!   We are waiting on these overpaid and over-powered people to change our nation, when indeed they have no intentions of doing what is best for the people!  We, the American people,  want unity, a strong economy, freedom to live our dreams and take vacations with our family!   We want to save our planet, we want to end human trafficking, we want to save the wildlife, we want to protect our environment, we want to save the homeless, we want to allow people to marry who they want, we want freedom of choice!   We all want different things and we deserve to have it all!   We will all never agree on which issues are the most important, but I can say that without a strong economy we can't have any of these things!

The world needs balance!  We need to unite and work together, and when we do that, we can have it all.  We must find a balance of all of these things we cherish and dream of!   We will never have any of these things being intolerant of each other and hating each other.   Peace and unity is what people say they want, yet I see people diving more and more!  Animals behave better than many people I see. Where is the compassion?

As I watch and listen to people on social media screaming for their causes and addicted to their own need to be right, it is clearer to me that nothing will ever change until we the people change! 

Until we can learn to love people where they are and understand their rights to have their own opinions, we will never be united.  Until we stop putting all our hope into career politicians to make our nation thrive again in freedom, a booming economy and unity, we will forever remain where we are, which is slipping into division, a broken economy and no freedom at all.  

It has started with the loss of freedom of speech for many.  That is our first attach of losing freedom.   We have lost our freedom to take care of our health as we see fit, and our right to breath fresh air which is necessary for survival to build a healthy immune system.   We have lost our freedom to socialize and many small business owners have lost their businesses that feed their families, and the list goes on!

Still. we sit here and WAIT for someone in power to fix things when they have no intentions of doing so, whatsoever.  I see nothing but more division daily.   None of these politicians have had to sacrifice anything during our pandemic.  Many of them have been seen not wearing masks.  It’s a “do as I say, not as I do” world with our government.  That is power, not unity and it is not working for the people!  

What are we Waiting For?

Each day I wonder, “What are we waiting for?”  I have never witnessed such hate from the politicians themselves.  I have never looked to a politician as a role model, yet some people do.  If these are role models for many people, then the American people and our world is screwed.   How can we consider people of such devout hate as role models?  Is this what we want our children today, and the children of our future to model their lives after?    This frightens me and it should frighten you, no matter what side you are on!   So what are we waiting for, I am not sure, because what I am seeing is change in the wrong direction.  People have become a horse's ass in my opinion, only my horse's ass is nicer than most! Ha!

We must not rely on our government for change.   Change comes from within each and everyone of us.   For things to change, we have to change.  I remember hearing this from a great Philosopher, Jim Rohn.  He was right.   Change isn’t something that we wait on.  Change isn’t something we look to others for.  We lead by example by changing ourselves first and hope that others will follow.  Just like giving, we give not to get, but to inspire others to give.   

For me, social media has become one of the most toxic places I can reside.  I am learning to spend less time there and more time focused back on my dreams and in Tamarah’s Closet.   I am extremely passionate about celebrating other’s dreams and helping them get to new levels.   My show brings me some of the greatest joys and I don’t even get paid for it, yet!   Nuno Bettencourt said once "If you do something you love for the love of it, the money will surely follow." 

How do We Escape Waiting?

We stop waiting for change and be the change the world needs to see.  I do this by focusing on the things I have control of and that is focusing on my dreams, my mission in Tamarah’s Closet knowing with this, I do have control.     I spend more time in nature with animals to get myself rejuvenated with hope, love & passion.

Hate is a toxic and dangerous emotion, and one not to be taken likely, or get sucked into.    Hate brews and churns inside causing sickness, diseases and it can lead to criminal acts.   So why do I see people spend some much time living in hate?   The hate is certainly, and most definitely stirred up by these career politicians, but at the end of the day we are the ones who control whether we get sucked in.

Be a person of change and it starts with yourself.  Look deep within and change how you react to society!  Refuse to allow hate to reside in your heart.   Spend less time on social media and more time with your dreams, your family and friends and surround yourself with positive people! 

I am making it my mission to ‘kick hate to the curb” and spend more time loving and creating change within.  Another thing I learned many years ago was a statement from an old friend of mine, Jeffery Combs.  He said, “Be the leader people are looking for!”   That would be me!  I am going to be the leader people are looking for,  and I do this through change within.  I do this by focusing on what I have control over, which is me and my thoughts, and I do this by refusing to being sucked into the hate.

Social Media Isn’t Social Anymore!

I spend less time on social media because it isn’t social anymore.  It is difficult to stay positive & focused when I spend more than a few minutes on there!   I am smart and I am smart enough to know not to look to politicians or our government for change.    If you are smart, you will wake up and do the same.   Change yourself first in hopes others will follow.   Hate breeds hate and yet LOVE is all powerful, so breed love by not getting sucked into the hate. 

Social media for me, was merely a place to expose my business in the beginning because I guess I am a bit old fashioned in that I believe in face-to-face friendships, as well as doing business.   It has it perks but lately in the past few years it has increasingly gotten overrun with hate and politics, a sounding board for opinions and intolerance.

Will You Change?

Will you change, or will you look to people of power who don’t really care, to change the world?  The choice is yours and the moment you commit to change, you will see people changing around you.  It’s hard to stay in hate when you are standing with someone in love.   The choice is yours.  Make it count!  Will you continue to divide with the politicians, or will you create unity for our country and the world? 

I hope you will choose love and change!  Become the leader people are looking for!
